Spotlight

As mentioned in a press release issued this month and included above in this edition's "In the News" section, Endeavor has recently launched a series of programs intended to promote healthy living to the staff. In the hectic world of telecommunications, particularly in a company growing as rapidly as Endeavor, where order volume is increasing daily and new customer opportunities are flooding in by the dozen, it is especially important to keep sight of maintaining personal healthy habits.

Endeavor has a long history of promoting various activities to encourage the staff to become healthier individuals, including its, now, annual tradition of sponsoring a team of runners in the ING Marathon and Half Marathon. This past March marked Endeavor's second consecutive year participating in the race, with many staff members as well as both the CEO and COO participating. Throughout training for the race, mileage for each participant was tracked on a bulletin board in the common area so the entire staff could see the hard work the racers were putting in each week.

Speaking of bulletin boards, the creative efforts of Jacki Kirsch of Endeavor’s administration team have been big contributors to the success of the recent health initiatives. Not only did she organize the ING-related activities and maintain the weekly training mileage matrix, but she has also been responsible for adorning the common areas with information and resources related to various health topics. These decorative spreads correspond with seminars put on for the staff by United Healthcare.

The first of these seminars, "Wellness and You," provided information and tips on healthy eating, the benefits of regular exercise, and other related topics. In conjunction with this, Jacki put together an elaborately designed and yet incredibly informative posting sharing statistics related to common health problems faced by Americans and diet and exercise tips that can be implemented in daily life to combat them.

The next seminar, "Stress and Life Balance," will focus specifically on stress management techniques. In anticipation of the seminar, Jacki's latest masterpiece features this topic. In addition to several informative elements covering a variety of stress management tactics, its design includes stress reducing bits of flair including cute pictures of cuddly pets and a long sheet of bubble wrap to be popped by any stressed out passers-by. This bulletin board also prominently features a more youthful version of Endeavor's own Integration Manager, Punit Gupta, whose image appears throughout in a Where's Waldo fashion with helpful advice on stress management.

It's easy to see why Endeavor is such a great place to work considering the resources made available to the staff aimed at helping encourage positive health related choices. With the sponsorship of health related activities and the creative and informative creative communications, compliments of Jacki Kirsch, the Endeavor team is well prepared to tackle the company's continued growth without sacrificing positive health choices.
