October 2007

Hello, and welcome to the October edition of Endeavoring – the monthly newsletter from Endeavor Telecom! We’re here in Boston for the Fall VON 2007 event - the final leg of the marathon trade show season, and we’re looking forward to a great event for our company. In the last forty-five days, we’ve done our best to make our mark at IT Expo conference and the Fall Channel Partners event followed by COMPTEL; now we’re experiencing World Series mania here in Boston.

This month, our Spotlight section features some really exciting breaking news from Endeavor; and frankly, this is great news for many of our industry’s VARs and service providers. We’re making this important announcement today at VON, but we wanted our loyal newsletter readers to be among the first to know. We won’t spoil the surprise here, so keep reading.

Please send mail (to editor@endeavortelecom.com) regarding our newsletter and our Spotlight news announcement; we’d love to hear what you have to say.

ENDEAVOR TELECOM AND POLYCOM TEAM TO EXTEND NATIONWIDE VOIP INSTALLATION SERVICE

From the show floor at Fall VON in Boston, Endeavor and Polycom are jointly announcing a partnership today with broad and positive implications for both companies, as well as many of Polycom’s service provider channel partners. Under the terms of this partnership, Endeavor’s nationwide field force of 9,000 certified technicians will be available to Polycom’s channel to provide highly professional field implementation services for hosted PBX deployments. In addition to onsite installation and testing of Polycom handsets, Endeavor technicians will provide personalized training services, as well as implementation services for other associated network elements, including ATAs, traffic shaping appliances, switches, inside wiring, and gateway products.

For service providers reselling Polycom handsets as a part of their hosted PBX offering, the implications of this announcement are potentially “business changing.” Today, providers are geographically limited to selling their services in areas where they have a physical presence and the ability to provide onsite technical support. Now, the rules have changed. Service providers are now freed from these limitations with the ability to sell and service customer locations on a nationwide basis; so an organization selling and servicing customers in Denver today, can be selling and supporting customers nationwide tomorrow.

Here’s an excerpt from today’s announcement:

BOSTON, VON Fall –Oct. 30, 2007 – Endeavor, the leading provider of private label wholesale professional services, and Polycom (NASDAQ: PLCM), the world’s leading provider of unified collaborative communications solutions, today announced an agreement under which Endeavor’s professional installation services will be available through Polycom’s distribution channel to service provider partners seeking access to professional implementation services on a nationwide basis. In addition to installing, testing, and supporting Polycom phones, Endeavor’s certified technicians provide customized installation services and training for various technologies associated with IP PBX deployment, including inside wiring, network switches, traffic shaping appliances, analog telephone adaptors (ATAs), and gateways.

With a field organization of more than 9,000 highly trained and certified technicians, Endeavor is uniquely qualified to deliver installation and testing services for Polycom partners anywhere in North America. Endeavor’s services are provided on a white label basis and allow service providers, carriers, system integrators, and VARs to offer a nationwide field service capability under their own corporate brand.

For additional information about this important and exciting new offering, you’re invited to be among the first to have a look at the brochure Polycom and Endeavor have jointly produced for release today at the VON show.

As we wrap up the Fall trade show season, we’d like to take a moment to recognize our mutual success over the past couple of months. As noted in this month’s News section, Endeavor was honored at the recent COMPTEL PLUS event with the show’s top marketing award. This award is the culmination of the hard work and planning by many of our team members and vendors and certainly demonstrates the team work and commitment we enjoy as an organization.

THE ENDEAVOR FAM-I-LEE

Chris Lee

Adam Lee

While we’re recognizing exemplary performance by our team, here’s one more. Readers of this edition of the Endeavoring newsletter may recognize a familiar face in our new Staffer of the Month. Chris does indeed bear a striking resemblance to Adam, who was recognized as the Staffer of the Month for August 2007. No, your eyes are not playing tricks on you. Chris and Adam are twin brothers, both serving as key members of Endeavor’s Service Delivery Team.

At a glance, they may appear identical, but Chris and Adam have distinctive styles. For example, Adam prefers his hair spiked in the front, but Chris typically wears his down. Also, Adam started at Endeavor about a month before Chris; though according to the Endeavor HR rep who interviewed them, the only difference between their resumes was the first name.

Together, Chris and Adam, form perhaps, the greatest one-two punch combo the telecom industry has ever seen. This dynamic delivery duo works in tandem with the rest of the service delivery team to qualify the performance of Endeavor’s field engineers. They share a similar work ethic and communicate frequently each day, utilizing their chemistry and sense of cooperation to assist each other in tackling problems or learning new skills regarding new technologies (although some say this is enhanced by their telepathic link). Chris and Adam also drive to work together each day – Chris typically steers while Adam handles the pedals – which further exemplifies their dedication to teamwork.

Joking aside, Adam and Chris have each made a distinct and unique impression at Endeavor, despite their similar appearance. Each one has worked hard and shown a willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities. They have earned their spots as Staffers of the Month and will continue to succeed at Endeavor. Recently, management was pleased to hear about the possibility of their long lost triplet, Bob, joining the delivery team. Unlike Chris and Adam, Bob apparently prefers a mullet hairstyle and found his long lost brothers via telepathy. However, this vicious rumor was discredited after Chris and Adam stated that if they had another brother who wore a mullet, they certainly wouldn’t admit to it.
